{"id":10126,"date":"2026-03-02T15:58:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T14:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.isciiibiobanksbiomodels.es\/?p=10126"},"modified":"2026-03-02T16:05:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T15:05:49","slug":"nuevo-avance-publicado-en-science-revela-mecanismos-clave-de-inestabilidad-genomica-en-cancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.isciiibiobanksbiomodels.es\/en\/nuevo-avance-publicado-en-science-revela-mecanismos-clave-de-inestabilidad-genomica-en-cancer\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuevo avance publicado en Science revela mecanismos clave de inestabilidad gen\u00f3mica en c\u00e1ncer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nos complace compartir un nuevo avance cient\u00edfico de alto impacto internacional liderado por el Dr. Jos\u00e9 Tub\u00edo y su equipo del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Medicina Molecular y Enfermedades Cr\u00f3nicas (CIMUS), perteneciente a la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.<\/p>\n<p>El hallazgo, que ha tenido tambi\u00e9n repercusi\u00f3n en medios de comunicaci\u00f3n como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elcorreogallego.es\/santiago\/2026\/02\/26\/cimus-descubre-genes-saltarines-alteran-127312736.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Correo Gallego<\/a>, ha sido publicado recientemente en la revista Science y aporta nuevos conocimientos sobre los mecanismos gen\u00f3micos implicados en la tumorig\u00e9nesis humana.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio analiza tumores de diez pacientes y demuestra c\u00f3mo eventos concurrentes de retrotransposici\u00f3n L1 pueden promover translocaciones rec\u00edprocas en el desarrollo del c\u00e1ncer, proporcionando nuevas claves para comprender la inestabilidad gen\u00f3mica tumoral.<\/p>\n<p>En el apartado relativo al an\u00e1lisis de las muestras, se menciona expresamente la participaci\u00f3n de la Plataforma Nacional mediante la cesi\u00f3n de material biol\u00f3gico, contribuci\u00f3n que ha sido clave para el desarrollo del trabajo. Este reconocimiento pone de relieve el valor estrat\u00e9gico de las infraestructuras cooperativas y de los biobancos como pilares fundamentales de la investigaci\u00f3n traslacional y del avance en medicina de precisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La publicaci\u00f3n de estos resultados en una revista de la relevancia de Science, refuerza la visibilidad social y cient\u00edfica de la investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica desarrollada en nuestro pa\u00eds y evidencia la importancia de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre centros de investigaci\u00f3n, universidades e infraestructuras cient\u00edfico-t\u00e9cnicas.<\/p>\n<p>Referencia del art\u00edculo:<br \/>\nZumalave S. et al.
