The main mission of the IRBLleida’s Biobank is to promote, facilitate and contribute to the development of excellence biomedical research. Biobank’s tasks are focused on the procurement, storage, management and distribution of large collections of standardised and well-characterised human biological samples. The Biobank provides many services, giving support to researchers in the Lleida sanitary region, and to other public or private research groups. Our centre counts with a great number of animal models and also with standard facilities for translational research and continuous training of health care professionals, main reasons why we are part of the new Spanish Biobanks and Biomodels Platform.
