Seville Provincial Node of the Andalusian Public Health System Biobank

The Andalusian Public Health System Biobank is an initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Regional Government to promote biomedical research and protect the rights of citizens who donate samples and/or data used in research. It is organised as a network biobank under a common ethical-legal framework and a comprehensive Quality Management System, with a single organisational structure and decentralised activity of its nodes associated with public health centres in each province. In turn, the Seville Platform is made up of the Biobank Nodes located at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, Virgen Macarena University Hospital, Hospital de la Merced de Osuna, Virgen de Valme University Hospital and San Juan de Dios Hospital. The Nodes at the Virgen del Rocío and Virgen Macarena hospitals are prepared to manage all the areas of the BBSSPA Process Map, fully attending to research and teaching projects, as well as developing dissemination and training plans.
