The Fundación Jiménez Díaz Biobank (B-FJD) is a transverse decentralized platform supporting biomedical research and strengthened within the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital Health Research Institute. It is form by 11 multidisciplinary nodes that embrace, preserve and manage biological samples and associated databases in order to improve knowledge, prevention and care of diverse diseases. It has the capacity to collect and transfer samples as well as to generate cell and animal models. The B-FJD is authorized by the “Subdirección General de Autorización y Acreditación de la Comunidad de Madrid” and registered by the National Registry of Biobanks from the Health Institute Carlos III (ref. nº: B.0000647).
