IdISBa Biobank is a service platform that aims to provide human sample collections and their associated clinical data to the scientific community, thus reducing research time.
Furthermore, these human sample collections are preserved with quality criteria, ensuring that both the acquisition and use comply with all the legal and ethical principles that protect donors’ rights.
IdISBa Biobank is authorised by the Ministry of Health of the Balearic Islands and it is registered at the National Registry of Biobanks of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ref. no.: B.0000527).

The IdISBa Biobank offers a wide range of services:
Sample transfer
We have many different collections and a wide range of samples:
• Lymphomas: samples of peripheral blood, serum and frozen tissues.
• Sarcomas: frozen tissue, FFPE samples. Tumor and non-tumor samples.
• Gynecological tumors: peripheral blood samples, serum, plasma and frozen tissue samples and FFPE.
• COVID-19: peripheral blood, serum, plasma, urine.
Collection management
Acquisition, processing and storage of human samples from research projects.
Histological services
• Histological processing and pathological report of tissue samples from animals used for experimentation (soft and hard tissues).
• Histological processing of tumor tissue samples.
3D biomodels
• Biomodel design (from CT images to MRI), scale 1-1.
• Teaching models.
• Design of non-complex prototypes.
