REACTing to Pandemics
On behalf of the coordinator of the REACT project and the consortium, of which CNIO and IBEC are members, we would like to share with you the upcoming series of online workshops “REACTing to Pandemics,” which may be of interest to the community of the ISCIII Biomodels and Biobanks Platform.
The workshop consists of two short sessions (2 hours each) and will be held in English:
Day 1 – March 23, from 09:00 to 11:00 CET
Biobanks and cohort creation for disease surveillance and preparedness.
Day 2 – March 25, from 09:00 to 11:00 CET
State-of-the-art in vitro models for infectious disease research.
The workshop is part of the REACT (Respiratory Host–Pathogen Interaction) project, which investigates the genetic, immunological, demographic, and clinical factors that influence the development of viral diseases of the lower respiratory tract. The project aims to better understand the interaction between patients and viruses during respiratory infections caused by the influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The goal of this workshop series is to bring together key stakeholders to discuss how integrated data collection, biobanking, and advanced molecular approaches can strengthen pandemic preparedness and response.
We encourage you to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to exchange knowledge with other professionals in the field and stay up to date with the latest advances in biomedical research!
