The pre-registration period has been opened for the first edition of the title of “University Expert in Banks of Neurological Tissues: Theoretical-Practical Aspects” of the University of Oviedo. All teachers in this course are part of the Working Group of Neurological Tissue Banks (GT-BTN) of the National Biobank Network.
This semi-presencial course will be held from October 2020 to March 2021. Pre-registration period ends August 17 .
The course, promoted by the Bank of Brains of the Principality of Asturias, is coordinated by Iván Fernández,assistant physician of the Pathological Anatomy Service of the Central University Hospital of Asturias and professor at the University of Oviedo.
It will address theoretical aspects of neurological tissue banks such as their historical development, legal framework and ethical aspects, as well as more practical aspects such as methodology and functioning, main neuropathological diagnoses, relationship with donors and practices in one of the collaborating neurological tissue banks of this course.
